Being the
second-most spoken language in Europe after English, French is included in the
list of the six official languages of the United Nations, and is spoken in
Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Andorra, Italy, Canada, Haiti and several
other countries, in addition to its homeland of France. However, the general
notion about the French Language is that it is the language of love. The reason
behind this popular perception is not exactly known, but is seems to have
formed as a collective opinion over the ages, in conjunction with the French
way of life, their love for music, arts, food, wine, culture, beauty and
romance on the whole.

interesting revelation made by Google Translate recently, French has indeed
been proved to be the language of love, because the sentences or phrases that
are sought for online translation have been found to have a high percentage of
love-based or romantic ones, as compared to other languages. Out of 1000 Google
Translations in French, 34 have been found to be love or romance-based, while
the Spanish language is second in line, and very surprisingly, English is found
to be at the bottom of the list of major European languages as far as
love-phrases are concerned.
