In the US alone, 43 states have people who speak different languages- French, Russian, German, Italian, Vietnamese and Tagalog. However, most of the states have Spanish as predominant second language. So, if you are not familiar with the Spanish language, might end up getting embarrassed by a bunch of Hispanics giggling at jokes they told in Spanish. Many times, you might be walking alongside two Asians talking in their native language and you might not even know which language they are speaking!
